Boy Scouts of Troop 101 Breakfast
The Boy Scouts of Troop 101 of Marshfield are having their second annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, September 4 at the Marshfield Yacht Club at 11 Ridge Road from 8AM till 11AM. There will be some raffles and possibly entertainment to add to your dining pleasure. This fund-raiser helps the boys pay for their activities, events, camping etc. So come on down and enjoy a great all you can eat breakfast, the view of the South River, the boats and meet some terrific Boy Scouts. Advance tickets are only $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10. At the door tickets are $7 and $5. If you want to buy in advance call 508.923.6756 and leave your name, address and phone and a Scout will contact you ASAP.

Air Fair, Plymouth Airport
Air show at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Event is from 10 am to 4 pm and features fly-bys, plane rides, helicopter rides, static display, helicopter golf ball drop, antique cars, amazing raffle, games, food, and fun for the whole family. Admission is free, although a $5 parking donation is requested. All proceeds benefit aviation scholarships and local charities. Bring a food donation for the food pantry and receive a free raffle ticket! Event sponsored by the Plymouth Aero Club. Rain date is Monday, September 6th.

30th Annual George A. Ridder Golf Tournament
On Thursday, September 9th, The Whitman Kiwanis Organization will host the 30th Annual George A. Ridder Golf Tournament @The Ridder Farm Golf Club located in East Bridgewater,MA The entry fee is $100 per person and will include: 18 hole championship play, Hole-In-One Sponsored by McLaughlin Cheverlot of Whitman, Closest to the Pin Prize on all other Par 3's, Continental Breakfast,Boxed Lunch and Buffet Dinner included, 1st;2nd and 3rd place prizes and door prizes! Nathan Hale Veteran's Outreach Our Troops Rock!
The Nathan Hale Veteran's Outreach centers of Plymouth and Middleboro would like to invite you to attend the second annual "Our Troops Rock!" A tribute to 9-11. The event will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Pilgrim Memorial State Park on Plymouth's waterfront from 3:05 - 9:11 PM. The Nathan Hale Veteran's Outreach Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The bands donating their talent for "Our Troops Rock!" include Boston and Bosco, Cheap Voova, Krush and Trax with Emily. September 11th Remembrance
Please join Cub Scout Pack 11 in Abington on September 11th at 8:30AM at the Abington Police Department, 215 Central Street. At exactly 8:46, we will have a moment of silence, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. We will then have a friend of the Coombs family speak, and a list of Massachusetts residents lost that day will be read. Following that, the scouts will be presenting both the police and fire department with Hero Flags. These are special, commemorative flags with the names of all emergency service personal lost on 9/11. We ask that all scouts wear their uniforms. Please feel free to invite family and friends, and you are encouraged to wear red, white and blue as we not only remember the day, but celebrate our patriotism.

Abington Rotary Club Auction
The Abington Rotary Club is holding its annual charitable auction on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Abington Knights of Columbus Hall at 254 Hancock St., Abington. The event starts at 7 PM. All proceeds go the various charitable endeavors of the Abington Rotary, including the food pantries of Abington and Whitman, local veterans and fuel assistance, as well as our Annual Scholarship Awards and sponsorship of youth sports programs. Refreshments will be served.

Choral Art Society Rehearsals
The Choral Art Society, a community chorus of the South Shore, now in its 52nd year, begins rehearsals for the fall season on Monday, September 13th, at 7:30 pm at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate. New members are welcome to join us. We need voices for all parts – soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. The ability to read music is not essential, but is helpful. You do need to be able to “carry a tune in a bucket.” We are a non-audition community chorus. The 2010-2011 season’s programming will be a Masterworks Season with the works of Bach, Mozart, Handel, and others. Prospective new members are welcome to the first two "open" rehearsals of the season, September 13th and 20th, to see if you would like to join us in song. The Braintree Choral Society’s fall/winter season opens with its first rehearsal on Tuesday, September 14th. The BCS is a non-audition chorus with a long history of high quality choral performance on the south shore. The BCS welcomes new members during September. Tenors and Basses are especially welcomed! A Family 50's Sock Hop Dinner and Dance will be held Saturday, September 18th, 5:30pm-9:00pm at Immaculate Conception's Msgr Hackett Parish Center, 1199 Commercial Street, E. Weymouth. Come join our parish family for a night of 50's fun. Prizes for best 50's costume! Comfort food, hula hoop contest, limbo contest, trivia, dancing. APCSM Fall Yard Sale
The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts announces its annual Fall yard sale on Sat. & Sun. Sept. 25th and 26th, 9am-4pm at the APCSM Adoption Center (1300 West Elm St Ext, Brockton). APCSM yard sales are well known for their huge and varied selection of items and their bake sales are famous for delicious home-baked treats. All proceeds raised from the sale go directly to providing homeless animals with humane and compassionate care in their time of need.
