Plymouth: Patrick expected to speak before AFL-CIO this afternoon

Governor Deval Patrick and his Lieutenant governor expected to make a stop in Plymouth this afternoon, both at separate times. The two state leaders plan to speak before the 91st Annual Convention of the Massachusetts Building Trades Council. The event is put together by the AFL-CIO.

Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray will speak at roughly 11:45 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel on Water Street in Plymouth. While Gov. Deval Patrick is expected to speak at 4 p.m.

This visit for the Governor comes just after a month after he pulled out of the state AFL-CIO’s annual conference at the last minute because of police unions that were picketing him in protest of what they said were Patrick’s decision to step away from collective bargaining agreements.
