A 22-year-old Hanson man earlier this week pleaded not guilty to charges that he forced himself onto a Hanson woman whom he knew, and then threatened her life.
Police were called to the home where the incident happened just before 4 a.m. Saturday.
The woman tells police that she and 22-year-old Chris Wicker had been in Boston together and that they had argued. When the pair got back from the city, Wicker went into her basement bedroom, allegedly forced himself on her and put his hand on her mouth to muffle any screams.
The Enterprise reports, the women told police, Wicker went as far as trying to put a plastic bag over her head, picked her up, throwing her to the floor when she tried to flee, and banging her head against a wall and dresser saying, "You're lucky to be alive, and I should kill you."
This all allegedly happened while the unidentified women's parents were asleep in an upstairs bedroom.
Wicker was arrested early Saturday morning at his home on Elm St in Hanson.
Wicker pleaded innocent Monday to rape, attempted murder, assault and battery and making threats. Bail was set at $3,000.
A call to Hanson Police seeking comment was not immediately returned.
