Another top Massachusetts Democrat is facing a possible Republican challenger in the fall elections.
Republican Keith Lepor, who describes himself as an author, speaker, international business and professional policy analyst, plans to announce his candidacy Monday for the 9th Congressional district seat currently held by Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch.
Lepor said his top issues include jobs, the economy, energy policy and national security.
Republicans in Massachusetts have been energized by the recent election of Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate.
Gov. Deval Patrick and U.S. Reps. William Delahunt, Niki Tsongas, Richard Neal and John Tierney, all Democrats, are also facing possible Republican challengers.
