Two men were arraigned on arson charges Monday for allegedly setting two fires in Weymouth.
Weymouth Fire Prevention Coordinator Justin Myers said the two suspects, identified by the Fire Marshal's office as Joshua Hadfield of Weymouth and Brian Waugh of Whitman, were charged Monday morning in connection with two fires: one that damaged a building at 808 Main Street back on January 30, and a second fire on February 2 at the former Grange Hall at 1047 Front Street in Weymouth.
Myers says the two suspects were identified through tips they received and were arrested Friday. It’s not clear why these the men targeted these two vacant buildings.
The two suspects face charges including two counts each of breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, burning of a dwelling, burning of a building, malicious destruction and burning personal property.
